Nathonics (or Nath')

It seems to me that our world is 'bout to clear all use of words with two or more sylls' from our speech. It seems most use words like "what 'ev" and "'sich" to keep just with one syll'. This scares me 'cause I think words with two or more sylls' are ness' to our speech. Have we come to the point in our world where we are too bus' to use more than one syll'? Slow down my peeps, have joy in your sylls'. Life is too hard to spend it with just one syll' words. This mode of talk can lead to probs like not get point of talk. One word's first syll' might sound like that of diff' word's first syll' and change the point you want to make. When you see a friend on the street do you smile and say "hell'"? That might hurt your friend's heart and make them not glad. To close I would just like to say that I hope you will keep the use of two or more syll' words in our speech 'cause it is too hard to just speak or blog with just one syll' words.

Actually, now that I think about it... could this situation really be just overflow from the language of the text message. I'm telling you, if you watch high schoolers text each other it takes about 2.66 seconds for them to type about a paragraph of information. I'm thinking about recruiting one of them to teach me how!

i do think you have too much time on your hands. it took a bunch of time to think through the use of one sound words. trust me i know i would not give this much thought to a blog. you are a man with great skills and it shows in your work...if you want to call it that.

So, yesterday I was cruising on New Circle Road on the north side of LEX and it took all I had not to stop at the Golden Corral. It was so tempting. I knew inside, waiting for me, were buffet lines filled with mountains of mashed potatoes, buttery rolls, and other tasty morsels that are not good for me. But, alas I kept on driving because there were other matters to tend to. That leads me to my question...when is the singles GC outing?

On another note, is it really fair to cross-blog someone when you have not posted a blog yourself for several days? Just something to ponder. And since I have now been cross-blogged on my "baby" blog, Tenant and I came up with yet another new term for the Blogging Dictionary last night -- Overposting. You see, we can't post to The 1056 too much because that would be overposting. You need to make a post and give plenty of time for people to comment. But now that I think about it, it really doesn't take a lot of time for 4 blog fans to comment. Hmm...

And another note...I attended a grammar and proofreading workshop yesterday. It was loads of fun, let me tell you. Just so you know, I am now qualified to critique your blogs and tell you where your mistakes are. Or not. I was educated in Kentucky after all!

* You have been cross-blogged by 1056 Landlord.

The local high school graduation was last Friday night and although I did not go I have heard a lot about it. There were 8 Vals and 1 Sal and all of them except for two mentioned God and/or Jesus in their speech. One girl got up there and basically witnessed instead of giving a regular speech. She told everybody that they neeeded to know her Lord and Savior and if they didn't know him to talk to her or someone about him. I thought that was awesome and took a lot of faith and courage to stand up there and do that. I wish I would have went now just to hear her speak. I thought this was very cool and wanted everyone to hear about it since I agreed to keep you updated on the 270.

First I would like to say thanks to Michael for representing the 270. Secondly, there is a HUGE debate about the spelling of sitch or "sich." When I see sich it makes me think of the noise that a person makes when he has ingested a little too much alcohol. I'm voting for the "sitch" spelling...Call me, beep me if you wanna reach me...

Should it be sich
Or Could it be sitch
We gotta get the 411 on which.
I think sich is lamp'n
and sitch is camp'n
The real word is sit
Yeah, dat's defunitlee it.

That was my Naked Mole Rap.
Yeah, Nate's down with Kim Possible.

last night i went to walmart w/ jordan and a rainstorm hit. i let her buy an umbrella for $1 (quality...of course) and we ventured out into the parking lot under the "funnel cakes" as jordan exclaimed referring to the clouds. i sat in the van...that's right VAN...but it has the sport package!...and watched as jordan's well made umbrella flipped inside out and the wind almost carried her to OZ. i must say it was top quality entertainment for only $1.06. *crossblogging provided by people for the responsible use of blogs p.s. we will loan jordan out for parties

Cheap entertainment, have to love it! Does Nate have his boo-boo kit packed for the rafting trip?

Anonymous said...

Is getting the sports package on a mini-van like getting a tricked out walker?

If you really want to test out an umbrella's ability to pick up an entire human being go to the plaza in front of P.O.T. on campus. It is the most unnatural source of wind I have ever experienced. I think the possibility to move large farm animals with the assistance of an umbrella is very probable!

actually...i put nate's first aid kit by the front door so he would see it when he comes in to get his things! you know me well! as far as i can tell, sport package means that the van has more dirt/sand and dirty socks in the interior than other vehicles

Somebody once said " Never use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice." So maybe that's what the one syllable thing is going for. I personally feel that this whole dernier is stifling my perspicacity.

Excuse me, dernier cri. My apologies
